Lies Van Gasse (1983, Belgium) is a poet, visual artist and teacher. She is the author of the collections Hetzelfde gedicht steeds weer, Brak de waterdrager and Wenteling. Brak de waterdrager was awarded the East Flanders Poetry Prize and Wenteling was nominated for the Pernathprize. Van Gasse also works with hybrid forms of poetry and images. Her graphic poems Sylvia and Waterdicht came as an eye-opener to Flemish audiences, with the drawings being exhibited at the Watou poetry festival in 2011. She co-wrote the multimedia epic Hauser with Annemarie Estor.
