Jeane Cohen’s Monarch, two years in the making, is an accordion book and suite of paintings exploring the life cycle, environment and connections, human or cosmic, of Monarch butterflies. The exhibition will also include a collectinea–a small visual archive of sources and inspiration for the project.

Jeane Cohen is a New England based artist. Her recent works include Monarch and The Listening Cone, both visual narrative books. Jeane is concerned with bringing art to the community, and has been teaching regular art workshops for adults with long-term mental illness in the valley. She is currently turning her focus to public-oriented art and mural work.
